Start Here: How to Navigate This Newsletter
Hitch a ride with La Combi Rosa to the intersection of food, care and health—both personal and planetary.
Welcome. We’re glad you’re here.
This newsletter is not meant to be consumed quickly or followed passively. It’s designed as a thinking space—one that sits at the intersection of food systems, health, and social design, and moves at a human pace.
This post will help you understand what you’ll find here, how to read it, and how to participate.
What this newsletter is (and isn’t)
This is a place for:
Systems thinking grounded in lived experience
Food and health as social, cultural, and political realities
Design as a way to make care more accessible and shared
Questions that don’t have simple answers, but deserve careful ones
It is not:
A diet plan
A wellness trend report
A productivity or “biohacking” space
A collection of prescriptive advice
The goal is not optimization, but understanding. Not control, but agency.
What you’ll read here
Posts generally fall into a few recurring formats:
Essays
Longer reflections on food systems, health, care, technology, and social design. These connect theory with everyday life and often draw from fieldwork, research, or ongoing projects.
Field Notes
Observations, lessons, and questions emerging from workshops, collaborations, and community-based work. These posts are closer to the ground and intentionally unfinished.
Design Reflections
Explorations of how systems are designed—and how they could be designed differently—to support wellbeing, joy, dignity, justice and collective care.
Questions & Provocations
Shorter posts meant to open conversation rather than close it. These are invitations to think together.
You don’t need to read everything, or read in order. Each post is meant to stand on its own.
How often we publish
This is not a high-frequency newsletter.
Posts are published intentionally, when there is something worth sharing—sometimes weekly, sometimes less. Slowness here is a feature, not a flaw.
How to engage
You’re welcome to:
Read quietly and ponder
Comment and add your perspective
Share posts that resonate
Support the work through a subscription
This space values dialogue over consensus. Disagreement is welcome when it’s thoughtful and grounded in care.
A note on care and responsibility
Nothing here should be read as medical or nutritional advice. The work of La Combi Rosa is about designing better questions, environments, and conversations—not replacing professional care.
Health is complex. Food is personal. Systems matter.
We’ll hold all of that with respect.
Where to begin?
If you’re new, you can:
Start with the Welcome post
Browse the archive and follow your curiosity
Read one post slowly, rather than many quickly
There is no “right” way to be here.
Thank you for joining this experiment in thinking, designing, and caring—together.
